Hi, I’m Charlotte

I’m a digital embroidery practitioner based in West Yorkshire, specialising in bespoke embroidery for costume. With a First-Class Honours degree in Costume with Textiles, my work is grounded in a deep understanding of garment construction and a meticulous attention to detail, skills that are essential in creating embroidery that integrates seamlessly with costume design.

My career began in theatre, working across wardrobe departments in Yorkshire and London, where I developed a strong foundation in performance-led costume. Over time, I saw the creative potential in combining digital embroidery with traditional costume practices and made the decision to invest in my own equipment, including the industry-standard Melco EMT16X.

In 2025, I had the honour of being a finalist in the fashion catagory of the 25th Hand & Lock ‘The Prize’ winning the Wilcom Award for best digital embroidery and the Joel & Sons awards for best use of fabric and materiality.

Today, I work closely with clients to create unique, high-quality embroidery and costumes that enhance character, support narrative, and meets the fast-paced demands of production.
